Shawn is a Settlement Annuity Specialist in the Atlanta office, specializing in medical malpractice, commercial liability and workers’ compensation claims.

His responsibilities include attending settlement conferences, mediations, arbitrations and other disposition hearings designed to resolve litigated and non-litigated cases. In addition, he designs and presents settlement annuity plans, prepares proposals, performs file reviews, and interfaces with clients, the court, and attorneys. Shawn also develops sales and training materials, and participates in seminars on structured settlements and related topics to claims personnel, self-insured representatives, and defense and plaintiff attorneys.

Prior to becoming an original member of Atlas Settlement Group in May 2005, Shawn spent four years with Ringler Associates, Inc. as a Settlement Annuity Specialist in their Georgia office. Prior to joining Ringler Associates, Shawn spent three years in claims with a leading national casualty company. He was responsible for investigating medical malpractice and general liability claims, and negotiating financial settlements with injured parties.

He is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association, and received the designation of Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) from the University of Notre Dame in November 2004.

Shawn holds a Bachelor’s degree from Elon College in North Carolina.
